Hey, are there any Vinyl users here? Just wondering how many of you are obsessed with audio quality like me :) I have a rather cheap turntable... bought it on a tight budget. It's the Audio Technica AT-PL120 and sooner or later I'd like to buy the TehnicksMK2000 or whatever it is. And that records / setup to you guys have? i LOVE vinyl. It is definately one of the greatest audio formats around. Instead of owning a PICTURE of the soundwave, you own THE SOUNDWAVE! xD I love it. I've got about 60 releases on vinyl, all drum n bass. I've got a pretty mediocre setup, but it works for me. 2 direct drive numark 1625s, and a behringer dx052 mixer (that is damn near falling apart.) I just enjoyed the superiour quality and the physical motion of the turntable (I like to see things in action). no, they are not cheap at all. usually about 5-10 bucks per plate. >.< In my opinion its worth it though. i dont have a what.cd profile, just the discogs. its one of my favorite websites. i've found so much good music on there. my 'wantlist' is over 1200 releases and counting. xD I also love how you get frequent emails telling you when people are selling stuff on your wantlist. I've found some really good deals on there. |
