How bout if I worked on a "Complete Guide to Counter-Strike" I'd like to use this thread as a list of things to cover. Rates, Pings, Aiming, GUI's etc. Please post any questions you might want to ask, and I will design a rough draft and then a final, and we'll see how it goes. |

well, id like to know how to aim better, how to use GUI's, what the correct rates are, what color crosshair is good (cause i constantly cant see my crosshair cause of color or brightness of the background), and more about demos (mainly settings i can set while playing them) |

If you put in res, crosshair size/color/trans, and a few other options like AA/AF, please add that it is actually person preference. You can explain what they are, the different options for them, and probably some pics of them to show the differences. Just don't go biased on what you use. r3xx3r, here's a link to what someone posted on gotfrag with a bunch of crosshair colors and the rgb values that you need to put in. Apparently RGB crosshairs are only for 1.6 and cz, so you are stuck with the defaults unless you download customizations.. Dumb. I'm going to get started on it today. I need some volunteers and an empty css server to help me as well in making the videos. Everything in the game except my personal movement keys will be at DEFAULT settings. However, for some parts, I will provide some of my settings as well as recommendations, but I will not ask people to change the way they play. The list has been updated. Some sections will not contain much info, or will be edited out if there is no content available to discuss the regarded section. I need some volunteers today so we can film the video stuff. I want to add that I won't be teaching anything about glitches, exploits, scripts, etc, because I do not use any of the above. |

On section 7, I'd bump the cs maps to the bottom, keep the de maps first (a.d2 b.inferno c.nuke. d.train) and show people how to analyze a map like entry points, choke points, bombsites, and how to take advantage of angles. A glossary for terms might be something of use for words since this is geared towards new players. |

Don't know if it mentioned already, needed, or you've already thought of it but you could speak on the topic of recording and playing demos. Hell, I'm sure there is a thread laying around here with all the infoz already, might wanna give props if you use it though. |
