Please... n00bfest needs to change the RTV settings of the main server . Whether it be to limit there use, or to just restrict them all the way around.IMO

Just thowin it out there to be tossed around and mulled over....

Wherever I go, people are waving at me. Maybe if I do a good job, they'll use all their fingers

I have not seen anyone actually get a RTV to work in a long time. There is never enough votes ever casted to let it go through.

Rtv has never had restriction and I find it fortunate we have it back since it was missing for at least a good year. The only restriction is that high end admins can overrule the Rtv.

But for real I would really love it if the RTV button Broke .... I say this cause the past couple of days we have been playin the same couple maps over and over and over again in short periods of time

Democracy my friend. If maps keep repeating an admin can change it. Also, what might work is speaking up over mic and letting everyone know what maps were recently played.

I'm often a big promoter of rocking the vote, just because I don't like a pretty good chunk of the current server rotation. Sometimes these votes are successful, other times RTVs just puts the server on an even worse map.

I think a good way to prevent server killing maps from getting voted on in RTV, is to quite simply take them off the server. Like honestly, who here really enjoys playing argh? Another idea to improve the system is to have the keys 5-9 correspond with the map vote instead of 1-9 or whatever it is. A few years ago that is how we had it setup like that on a public server I used to run. There's always gonna be a good amount of people that click 1 just to get rid of the menu quickly... it can be set so that clicking 1 closes the menu just like clicking 0 typically does. I don't know about everyone else, but about half the time I end up voting for a random map in an attempt to switch weapons :/

its a good thing to have, yet if the rtv vote number gets too low then more and more maps will continue to change. its nice to just play through a rotation once in a while.

I like rtv. Sometimes I think the number of votes needed to start it is a little too high.



If people want to play certain maps more it's fine, that's what's the plurality wants.

I also like the 5-9 keys to map vote. People accidental press votes they don't want when changing guns.

It's mostly because the numbers 1-6 are most commonly used while buying and if you start the map list at #5 it's easier to not F*CK up the vote.

I'm with Purple on this one. I'm getting tired of everyone trying to change shit all the time. I don't even like looking in the "open floor" or "counterstrike source" forums anymore because all the posts are people crying about how the server doesn't suit there every desire.

Welcome to n00bfest! You like it here, enjoy! You don't like it here, find another server.

Alot of people work pretty hard to keep this community as fun as it is and as populated as it is and from where I stand, n00bfest is one of the most successfull CSS / gaming communities out there. So something must be right here.

Just enjoy the game people.
