Alright I know im new here but I have logged a few hours on the server most of them being later at night but I think Rock the vote would be a good addition because sometimes at night the server is pretty populated then we switch to a map like chateau with no admins on to change the map or do a vote the server dies and I end up having to go to sleep :)

Trust me... a lot of other players like you would love RTV to be back but with steam updating CS:S and Mani sometimes not able to keep up RTV has been broken for a long time.

perhaps a map vote at the end of a round?

We can't do any of that until mani updates their shit. Mani is a donation based community, they aren't going to do the work if they don't get donations. Plus, they have a shrinking customer base as it is.

rtv is stupid cause we always went to the same 2 maps office and dust 2 server is better with out it and if the server starts to die the admins always change it to get more people in

Crzy of course brings up a good point. I've been playing in the server and it has died because of chateau or other stuff and either another admin in the server or I change it to popular maps like dust2 and Office to populate the server to the point where the rotation doesn't matter because there will still be people playing.

During the day its never really a problem with an admin being in the server or anything like that I was saying more so because of late night there is not always an admin online to manage the maps when the server dies. You can restrict maps that have recently been played so its not the same 2 maps over and over again. Im happy either way was just suggesting.

To add another suggestion what about adding a short delay time to the round just 2 or 3 seconds. Ive been the victim many times from a warm up round in the middle of shooting at someone then the round ends and 2 or 3 people are slayed because of spawn attacking.

It's been discussed, but as of now there is unfortunately no easy workaround. The only simple solution would be to add freeze time before EVERY round and that's pretty annoying. If there was an easy way to just have freeze time on the first round, it would be a different story.

Even a 1 second freeze time would be plenty to keep the spawn attacks down.

Were not going to have a freeze time because it's how we've always had it, and really, even if it wasn't always that way, mani is a python nightmare.

Yeah like I said, it's been pretty thoroughly discussed. The community consensus is that it's not that big a deal (just don't shoot at the end of warmup, or prepare to be autoslayed and mocked a little if you do) and freeze times are annoying. If you wanna delve into the coding and find out how to have a freeze time for just the first round, maybe we can go from there...

If mani were written in python, it'd probably work better. It's written in C++.

Huh, my fault didn't know that. Why was acid trying to get me to look at some random python script last year? A plugin perhaps?

Doubt it was written in python. n00bfest doesn't use anything written in python AFAIK. It's all C++/Perl/php for the most part.

Sometimes when he drinks he tries to get people to look at his python...maybe that's what you're thinking of?
