can we maybe have some bots in the gungames server, i know that ppl would play there more if some bots where there to shoot at

it'd be better than noone every playing in there

yeah, they can run it so as the server fills the bots get kicked. the only problem is that after a while the bots F*CK the server up. when i ran a dedicated GG server, i had to reboot the server at least once a week due to the bots making the server run like shit. it's a double edge sword.

Here at n00bfest, we pride ourselves in not having bots on any server (except for testing purposes, that is).

They don't have to be in there forever, just until people get the F*CKING point to play in it. Murk and I play in XXL and Titties-n-Beer more than anything. So the motivation and love for gungame is there for us, it just sucks shooting walls and invisible targets in our server.

The beauty of a dedicated machine is that it doesn't cost us any extra to have that server there, empty or not.

If you want to play there, round up some interest on steamfriends and join that bitch.

I play on another server that has 2 bots a team until people join. For every real person a bot is dropped after the round. Its a great way to get people in the server when its empty and keep them there until others join.

would that be Titties n Beer by any chance? i go there when i cant get people on n00b GG.

reguardless of stability issues, i dont see the point of having our own GG server unless its being used. if we need to bait it a bit and try that out to see what traffic we get, i would recomend it. if it fails then id say we take it down. seems no reason to keep it running if no one uses it.


id stay on n00b gg as an admin to make it fun for the peeps if it will bring em in. maybe toss out some reputation and make a few lulz to get em to come back. well see if we can apply the same tactics used on the pub server (admin luls) to get people to come in and play more on the GG.
