Since we only have 2 servers on the box that get regular use, why not be ahead of the CS curve for once and run a 16-20 man ProMod server the day it comes out? Population won't be an issue since everyone wants to try it and it's free. Since it's on the source engine, we should be able to run the same mods on it.

And yes, it looks like source. Great detective skills Gil Grissom.

Look at that. It tells you on screen how many nades you have, your teammates money when you tab, and your teammates HP. I know that doesn't mean much in a pub, but for those of us who compete...

Oh, and when I said 2 servers, I meant the main and the 1.6 scrim server that PSA uses all the time (thanks!). I have no idea if the elite server is active or not.

Also, please, please, please allow awps. CSP doesn't have all the weapons 1.6, cz, and source have. No scouts. Maybe a limit?

ProMod summary:

It's source graphics with 1.6 style gameplay. The nades, flashes, and smokes are more like 1.6. If you turn your back to a flash, you won't be fully blind. The recoil is like 1.6. No more running sideways headshots from across the map with a p-90. No crap on the ground that will get you stuck. The HUD is F*CKING AMAZING. You can wall spam people again!

Some of you will hate it. For those of us who have been waiting for a a better looking version of CS that still plays like 1.6, this is what we have been waiting for.

I never played 1.6 and I dont' like the wall spamming and getting grenaded through a wall, but I'll check it out for the other stuff. :)

Looks beastly, specailly the HUD, but when it says "errors" what is it talking about ( And will it be released on steam for free? As in thats where you get it.)

Errors are suicides/tks more than likely, but you will be able to get it at http://www.cspromod.com on the day of the release, yes it's free as long as you have a game on the hl2 engine(CSS obviously fills that requirement for all of you since it's a Source community) and depending on how many people play it, which will probably be an extreme amount for the first couple days-a month servers will be full as F*CK and the download will probably be slow if it is all getting downloaded from the promod website. Just like a TF2 update when they come out.. haha.
