I brought this up before, and people clearly hated the idea. But...
It would be like giving props to a thread. in a small bar on one side, or at the top of the topic, people can rate the post from 1-5. The other people who come in to view the posts will see that it has a low/high rating and decide to view it based on that. If you hate someone, think the post is a waste of time, incorrect, or spam, you can give it a low rating. Then others can skip the baddies.

I would assume we would only do this for topics, because if we did it for people, the people who post the most would obviously get more points)

If you want to code it all yourself and make sure it's tested on a different bored before you put it in here, then maybe it'll be considered.

Just like YTMND, people will down-vote just to be fags and it won't really help anything.

Yeah, I dunno...I think everyone would either do it based on how much they like the person that posted, or (like me probably) just not vote. I never rate things if I have the choice not to, it's just not worth it. I don't think it's that much of a waste of time to glance at threads, and just ignore them from then on if they suck.
