I know there are alot of new n00bs joining and enjoying the servers and admin privelages. I haven't been as active on the forums as I used to....especially since Gman was voted off the island. Is there some place that everyone dissappeared to?....I mean, I know where Gman went.....but what about everyone else? I rarely see anyone posting that has been around awhile. Maybe the community has grown too big for me, and I'm starting to lose interest in reading the posts, because theres all these names I don't recognize. I swear I must have read 10 posts from people that said "sorry, I've been gone awhile" ..... and I don't even know who they are. Or maybe it's just that I miss reading some interesting news about n00bfest.....some controversy. tricking people into looking at the lemonparty link is funny still I suppose. but, the only highlights recently have been the lan party get together. the forums are getting harder and harder to navigate to find interesting information.....the n00b tube section was a good idea, and I'm glad I suggested that :P haha, I have another suggestion that might be a little cruel......I think we should be able to customize the forums to be able to view only posts from people that we care to read about. Like for example: you could do a search for posts from people that you want to read already....but what about some kind of filter that only shows topics that the people who you enjoy reading posts from shows up?? hey, this could be a plus for some people to not be able to see posts made by me. hehe |

Why don't we make a forum that the only way you can have acess to is if you've been here for a year or so, a gay idea, I know. |

That's definately something to consider. That way, ONLY people that have been around for a long time would be posting and reading. Veeeeedy interesting. |

The user filters would be an interesting concept, but I don't know that such a thing exists. I know I've been gone quite a bit lately, and I only pop-in to read and/or post on the weekends sometimes. Mostly I feel like I've outgrown my video gaming addiction. I'm pretty busy lately, and I'm not as willing to sacrifice family time for n00bfest time. I work out of town quite a bit, so when I'm home I can't spend all my time playing CS. I might become a more active player at some point in the future, but I'm in no hurry. There's sunshine and fresh air outside, and for many years I had forgotten about that. I was going to reward myself this Christmas with a new uber-laptop for gaming while I'm on the road. I changed my mind. I went and looked at some super-laptops last week and I wasn't really too thrilled. Instead, I think I'm gonna get an old, restored Jeep CJ (phat and lifted) and some camping gear. I'm not going to abandon technology completely, mind you.... I want a new iPod too! This time I want a video iPod, and I'll pass my iPod Nano down to Mandy. BTW, if you don't have an iPod, ask Santa for one this year. They F*CKING rock. Besides, it's a way to reward Apple for the creative commercials they've put together, without having to buy one of their machines. |

And the iTunes program that it gives you? Yeah...it makes as my radio when i'm messing around on the computer here...just open it up and let the tunes roll. I've got like six days worth of music so far, and its not even half-way filled up.... |

Im pretty much like Corpse. Its sad i know but sometimes i had rather work in my yard or play outside with my little boy.I still get a little time in on the weekends but during the week i only have 3-4 hours from the time i get home till the time i need to go to bed so i try to spend that with the family. I also thought about upgrading my computer, but i could take that money and put a good down payment on a new 4 wheeler to get out and ride trails with. I got into pc games about 5-6 years ago, before that i was pretty active.During the week id play golf in the afternoons and on the weekends i would fish or shoot bow tournaments. Now i just get in front of the old computer and waste away.Looks like it might be time to make some changes. |

yeah, it's hard to feel connected to a gaming community when your not much into gaming anymore. I guess that's why the old schoolers having there own place to talk about other things is a good idea.....because I'd much rather read posts about what people are doing with themselves besides playing video games. |

yeah....gaming's taken a backseat in my life right now...so I like the idea. All I do on the forums anymore is hit the "mark all topics read" button at the top, cuz most of the topics are crap now.... |
