Wow am I rusty. I havet played CS in nearly a year, but last night I got on and played some casual CS:GO. Pretty close to the same as I remember, only real difference I noticed is what it takes to kill someone. So much for spray and pray...
Anyone have any pointers about this game vs source? And whats the deal with "Competitive" matches? worth it or to try hard?

I feel like you should find a crosshair style that you like first. Adren_TV has a good guide about crosshair's on the tubesofyou. I'm serious though. I ran with one of the default crosshairs from the game, but I watched that dudes guide on 'em and found a style that I liked and it actually improved my aim quite a bit.
As far as comp goes.....I wouldn't really bother with it if you're just wanting to play casually and not taking it too serious. For the most part, you will run into people that are pretty tryhard, and some that aren't as quite. I like to play comp here and there because it helps me stay sharp a wee little bit and because I like the challenge it can pose
