I bought mine through NIX and had no problems. Newegg is also very popular.

Save and get everything at once or near the same time. If you build slowly piece by piece it will be hard to test the parts as you go along and prices usually drop or better components come out during that time.

https://pcpartpicker.com/ is a pretty nice site to use. It will help you pick out parts, make sure that all the parts that you pick are compatible with each other, and keep you updated on which stores are offering free shipping, have price drops, or ready availability.

I usually buy my tower, cooling fan, and power supply first. Then, I'll get the mobo, thermal paste, and memory, the processor second to last, and whatever else I'll need to add to it later like SSD, DVD-Drive, mouse/keyboard, display, etc.

I built my whole pc at a place near me called microcenter. Here's their website http://www.microcenter.com/. I went into the shop and asked someone to help me build a comp, gave them my price range and they picked out each individual piece, making sure that i was oaky with it as well. Literally took like 10 minutes to do it. If you have one near you or a place like it I highly suggest going there
