When is the next tourny? I think last tourny was successful and pretty fun. We have quiet a few new n00bs and there seems to be a good amount of n00bs playing css frequently enough to have another successful tourny! well that's my two cents. |

I would really have to finish fixing my computer. Not a problem. Just need some cash, parts and time. Totally down for a tourney. If I miss this one though, no biggie. |

Are tourneys members only or can anyone enter them? Also what do the tourneys consist of? |

The tournaments are seeded into teams of 5 based primarily on skill level to maintain a level playing field. The teams are then put onto a bracket (no loser's bracket, it's winner stays, loser loses.) and the amount of teams in the bracket is determined by the number of players who have signed up. The previous tournament had 40 players sign up (more actually, but many became ringers), which resulted in 8 teams participating. Prizes are partially determined by the amount of cash on hand in the n00b Paypal account in excess of that necessary for daily operation. Prizes are also determined by the HNIC's sense of humor. For example, when "Team 3" won the previous tournament, a team of which I was a part, Gman decided to send out T-Shirts that said something along the lines of "I won a tournament at n00bfest.com and all I got was herpes and this lousy t-shirt." My sister didn't want it, and she had only played one of the three matches our team had been in, so she let me have it. I wear it out to bars. |
