Took me a bit to dig this out. It's nice to have an in-game browser you can use, and see your steam friends. To get it to work properly, open steam, go to Games -> Add Non-steam game, Click "Browse" and go hunt out Diablo 3. Once you've done that to add it to the library, right click on it from the list of games, go to properties, and add -launch to the end of it's path.

A sample of how the path should look is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo III\Diablo III.exe" -launch

Once you do that, you should be able to properly launch D3, and have it display the steam overlay, get steam friends notifications/messages, etc.

Yeah, I'm hopeful the 1.08 patch will go a long way towards making it fun again. :/

im stuck at paragon 94. 4 hours of straight grinding per level has got to me @_@

Yeah, the game itself is fun, but all the goals you're supposed to achieve are pretty lame for what you have to do.

I'm largely still playing as pennance for getting my dad intoto D2 back in the day. It does become about 500x as fun when you make it a social thing instead of just solo grinding, I can't even make myself do any runs solo now. I have no idea why they had to take a shit over all the party/game system though, it's almost impossible to get good pub games :(

I still play, find my id and add me, tell me who it is and i play around 10pm-2 am
