Hey, I recently formatted my PC and installed windows 7. One thing I haven't figured yet how to fix is how to make the sound devices switch by themselves.
What I mean is, on the front panel of my computer, the headphone plug, when I plug the set, it still only sounds through the speakers. I have to go through the control panel, disable the speakers and enable the headphones. Same to go back to the speakers. It's really frustrating to have to quit a game just to mess in the control panel to make the switch.
Before moving to win7, I used to just plug the headphones in and it would start playing in the headphones and the speakers as well. For some reason I can't figure out how to enable both at the same time.

Re: Sound devices
One way to do it is just use a spliter and plug them both in the back.

Re: Sound devices
It used to work without it so it might be possible through the settings, but I just don't know what to look for.
Could be a driver issue. Make sure thats up to date?

Re: Sound devices
I have win 7 as well. Mine works on both speakers and headphones. Control panel-hardware and sound-manage audio device-then click on speakers-go to properties and go to levels tab with everything plugged in and make sure no lines are muted. Other than that maybe a driver issue.
