Post subject:  Laptop
My wife managed to spill half cup of coffee on the laptop. She attempted to fix the laptop on her own and damaged one of the screw from the back cover, so I had to use the drill to remove the top/head of damaged screw. I got that disassembled and diagnosed that the keyboard was damaged (before I started I downloaded the service manual from the Dell's site).

Ordered the replacement keyboard and got it in the mailbox today (cost with shipping ~$30). Spent another 2 hours (also replaced the CMOS/BIOS battery) and voila...

Laptops are not more difficult to work on, they are Just More Annoying cause they are much harder to access and the amount of screws that are different sizes and types.
I have fixed a few laptops , Mainly harddrives, and ram, but i did do 1 keyboard swap.

I usually write off laptop hardware issue as a waste of time unless there is critical data on the hdd.

Dude, the one that Pea got me is freakin' awesome, I love it.

I don't get the Das keyboard? Green keys? A red Esc key? I thought it came from Poland for our polish friend....but then Strange has one? Pols in Texas?

Mechanical keyboards that use Cherry MX switches have an aftermarket of various customizations.

Mine doesn't have the colored keys, just plain keys, but it's still an awesome keyboard.

Hahaha... I got Das for work too. I code for live, so my co-workers are "slightly" annoyed Yellow_Flash_Colorz_PDT_03
