So now my budgets increased a bit and I'm looking at these options to upgrade my machine. What do ya'll think? I had that same mobo and I really liked it. If anything I'd go for a UD5 or UD7 instead of UD3, but that's a $50-100 difference. That AMD chip is the fastest one available of the FX designs, and it's also the cheapest. It's better to get that particular chip if you plan on doing things other than gaming though, as the old Phenom II X4 955 is faster core for core, but really only for gaming, and it's the same price. The RAM is really slow, tbh, but for 8gb not a bad price. The hard drive is a decent price, and at least you've chosen a 7200rpm and didn't pull out a 5400rpm. |
