Alright my grandfather is 73, we got him his first laptop last Christmas and cause he wanted to use the Internet he got one of those mobile wifi things. Basically he travels a hell of a lot and I get calls all the time from him for help and sometimes it takes hours because i can't have it in front of me I can't answer the problem. He has windows 7 and I do too. Is there any remote desktop or whatever program so I can help him even if he is across the country? |

I use logmein rescue when my grandmother needs help. It has a free portion that you can use to take almost full control of the system. Works pretty well though. https://secure.logmeinrescue.com/welcom ... 050920%3as |

I use Join.me which is another logmein product, this happens to be all webbased and ease to use. Have him click the basic edition radio button and off you go. I think the only downside is depending on one person connection, reactivity might be a bit slow to say the least. |

I use the same app with my grandparents and my clients who are too dumb to even turn their computer on. The free version is perfect. |

loginmein ftw -- I use it for all my windows boxes and I have people install it when they need me to help them and its easier just to do it myself. I think I fixed Money's computer using logmein |
