Went to bed turned pc of via shutdown like always... i have a mx15 alienware standard no upgraded anything yet... open screen and keyboard lights up... beeps obnoxiously loud and then caps lock numb lock blinks like its having a heart attack.... screen stays blank... it has a full battery... and i have no idea what i can do to fix.... ive tried restarting it via power button several times just does the same thing....any ideas would be awesome.... D |

From what I have gathered. Here you go.. Some forums suggest this: Remove the battery and AC Adapter cord from alienware m15x laptop and press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then, without replacing the battery try plugging in your AC Adapter to see if you get anything. If that doesn't work, remove the AC adapter, reset the board again, and this time hold the power button down as you plug in the AC Adapter cord. If you still don't get anything, you could try removing your memory, reset the board, replace the memory, plug in the AC Adapter, and try one more time. You should also check that the air intakes, and the fan are clean and free of dust and hair, although the computer generally does actually start up then immediately shut down if it is a heat problem. Also, here are Beep Codes for AlienWare Computers. The beeping bother's me because that is a computers way of telling you something is wrong.. I don't know exactly how to decode them, but I am guessing the number of beeps tells you which one it is. http://support.dell.com/support/topics/ ... l=en&s=dhs Hope that helps... |

Its cool i panicked but its still under warranty so its covered was the graphics card taking a crap tho so im still upset but thanks for the help |
