hmmmm thats strange , normally a spill on the KB or mouse isnt gonna F*CK with the tower itself.

You might try disconnecting the USB devices. If the shit works when you don't use the fried USB bus, you might simply add a PCI USB card to reconnect the devices again and everything could work.

Similar thing happened with my big tower here. The onboard USB fried.

Yeah, I wouldn't think water contact on the mouse could short circuit the whole mouse and cable to knock out the CPU. Crazy...

Tell ur g/f's little sister to never drink water again. Teehee ;-)

It is very easy to fry a serial port,so if this is the case just disable it in the bios and use usb.Like corpse said you can also get a usb card for cheap if you need more usb ports or there fried. But you need to disable the fried port,be it usb or serial.

awesome thanks guys... yea i never thought something like this could happen... i'm still not positive if the water spill is 100% responsible for the computer not booting to windows but i wont be able to look at it until monday... but i think i'll still have access to BIOS so thats definitely a good thing... LOL, knowing me and my rage i probably would have beaten the living shit out of her if it was my computer...
