What im working with: I am using a Belkin N1 Wireless router. Hooked to a cable modem. Now i am not playing wirelessly, i play hardwired and i still have this problem. When i play wirelessly i play either direct from the modem or from the router. I also use Zone Alarm Anti-Virus. I have used Zone Alarm for years and have never had a problem.. This problem just started recently.. I will join any server and after about 15 minutes i will lag for a second then won't be able to move. I can still hear everyone talking but cannot move. For me to be able to play i must unplug the modem not the router. The modem seems to be the problem. But a week ago i would play for a good two hours and have to recent. Now it is an average of 15 minutes the first time. After i reset it i average 30 seconds. Then i have to reset again; once reset i can play for another 15 minutes and the cycle begins again... Now in console i sometimes get A Packet flow error. Any other info ask... Please help... Can't take this shit anymore.. Thank you. Mossy. |

for F*CK's sake, take zonealarm out of the equasion. you are not a true gamer if you have a piece of software inspecting each packet that hits your computer. chances are your cable modem & router are already blocking most of the nasty ports. if after ZA's gone you still have the prob, call your cable provider for a replacement modem. |
