so I have just ordered a computer for a friend of mine and to make it cheaper for him(and give me an excuse to upgrade my video card), I ordered a video card for my computer and he is buying mine

I ordered last night and was notified that it had shipped today, right afterwords, I checked newegg, and low and behold the card that I wanted was back in stock...(I should have waited, but I didn't know when the card would be back in stock, and that would have left one of us w/o a gpu)

here's the card that has been shipped
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150339

and here's the one that I wanted, but wasn't in stock at the time of ordering

should I RMA the card when I get it and order the sapphire? or do you folks think I should just try the card out?

thanks in advance for the input

It's only $25. You'll spend about $10 shipping it back. You spend another $10 on shipping for the new card to your house. You'll lose the $10 you paid for shipping on the original card. What's the point of RMA'ing it?

the xfx has a stock heatsink, the sapphire has a non-reference design which keeps the card quite a bit cooler, also I have only gone sapphire with my ati cards and have never had even one small complaint

yeah... I think I will just try out the xfx card and see how it handles... I was just kinda po'd this morning when I went to check how the order was going and the card that I had wanted was now back in stock...

I knew someone would get me... but I think I am going to keep the XFX card for now and see how it works out... the $20 off of the Sapphire card is also no longer available, which means the prices are almost exactly the same now.

Return Merchandise Agreement.
To RMA is to return a product to the seller. When you purchase an item online, you agree to their return policy.
