Okay, I'm experimenting with linux because I need it for one of my classes. Normally I'm okay working with linux, but so right now I'm F*CKING pissed off at my computer. My system has: ATI HD 3850 AGP video card MSI K8N Neo2 Mobo AMD Athlon X2 4200+ 2GB ram. 4x IDE devices (HD, cd-rom) I'm trying to install Ubuntu. I've downloaded the AMD64 edition of Ubuntu, install it properly. However, once I try to enable the ATI drivers, the system crashes. This isn't your normal crash. I cannot switch consoles, soft reboot OR hard reboot, that's right, the F*CKING reboot button on my case doesn't work. Anyone have any theories on how this is remotely possible? |

It's probably a problem with your case/mobo if the reboot button doesn't work. There is always the power button on the back. And use Debian, I like it much better, but Ubuntu does look nicer. |
