so i moved back to college a few days ago and now my ping went from around 50-60 to over 300. i have the same connection speed as at home, im still on a wireless connection as well. i tried some of the different settings made in the other posts but none of them seem to help. Anybody have anything new that may help, my comp is fully updated and its not my powersupply. thanks ~Falcon |

You mean your latency on game? Or your connection speed all together? Does it browse slower than it did before? Did you check your power supply twice? |

Most colleges restrict bandwidth in games.Search google for a workaround.LoL,thank god they do or my lan center i hope to open in the future would never get off the ground. |

ok here is what you do... you call up your campus IT people and ask them if they could grant access to (insert server ip here) otherwise you will have little bandwidth because they dont want you using up their interwebs that is what i did to fix my problems on campus so i know it should work for you too and you will also have to mess with your rates a bit but yeah |

you could get one of those bandwidth manager programs and sap a little bit from everyone else on the network maybe? |

That happened to me when I re-installed steam, go under your interwebz connection settings and make sure it is set to the right connection type. |
