| Post subject: | New Graphics Card Help |
I just got a new graphics card and I was wondering when installing it what to use because I have heard to use an anti-static wrist strap and a conductive foam pad, I have also heard to just to make sure to hold onto something metal. So I was wondering what you guys have to say cause I'm a little confuzed about that. Also I heard to not work on carpet and was wondering if any other surface worked? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 0987962366 |

Touch your case before you touch your hardware. Wear shoes and try not to mod on the carpet. Be on tile or a wood desk with wooden legs or something. Anything is safe aslong as you ground yourself and wear shoes. Carpet is your only real worry. |

just don't touch the actual metal on the top/bottom of the hardware. The sides have large enough edges where you can grip/push. |

Alright so the big thing is to work over something besides carpet. Thanks a lot Mindless. One quick question when you say touch the case before the hardware that means any time I touch the hardware to touch the case first right? Once again thanks so much. |
