every time I turn my comp off hten back on the clock changes time. Not really a big deal but I get confused on what time it is sometimes |

If your coin battery was dead you would have no bios so thats not it. |

The first thing to go is usually the clock, before the BIOS completely resets. Common BIOS batteries are the CR2032/CR2036 which you can pickup at any drugstore. |

I went through 3 batteries before I realized what it was. It still worked just didnt retain info when I turned it off for awhile. |

Your CMOS settings will probably get lost so you may have to go into setup and reconfigure. Most systems today will do it for you unless you have stuff like SCSI, or RAID controllers. |
