i use winamp for my music needs. recently, everytime i try to play music in winamp it shuts down and gives me this error:

"there is no email program associated to perform the requested action. please install and email program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel."

now... i don't know what winamp has to do with needing an email program associated with it in order to work(never has before), but it's happening anyway.

winamp itself also gives me a crash report. tried to add the crash report as an attached file, but all it would let me do was attach the zip folder the txt document was contained in. SO, basically this is the very top of the txt document where it says the error:

but the problem with those fixes and going into the reg edit is that i don't have microsoft office(meaning outlook in this case) and i never have had it installed on this computer. when i go into the registry editor the only things i have in that mail section are hotmail and windows mail.

so i'm at a freakin loss.

p.s. i don't really want to switch to a new media player. i love winamp and have used it for ages. if you have any suggestions for new ones i would prefer if they have the capability to act as a form of music transfer to portable devices. simply put i need to manage the music on my phone with whatever media player i have.

Who the F*CK uses Winamp still??! I used that back when I was in high school - like 20 years ago.
