This dude is standing at the end of my driveway and says he lost his necklace in the middle of the street. He wants to know if we have a light so he can look for it. I pull out my phone, and he goes across to the other side of the street where a grease waste container is and opens up the trap at the bottom...gets a wire and starts digging around in it. I'm like, how in the hell did you lose a necklace in there? He just keeps saying I got it, I got it, then pulls out the biggest wad of cash that I've ever seen and stuffs it in his pocket and walks off. End of story...Oddest thing I've experienced since I've lived here. |

So, the neighbor actually called the police before we got home on the same guy. The dude offered my neighbor 100 bucks for a flashlight and he didn't give him one because he said it sounded shady. We talked to the cops too and told him what happened and all he could say was, "That's odd." So, an hour later or so, more cops show up and say that's it's part of a game that people play online called Geocaching. http://www.geocaching.com/ It exists, and the cop said that it's everywhere not to be alarmed. Still freaking out over this, it's weird as F*CK. Yeah, something doesn't seem right about that, why would a wad of money be there and not some item. Shady is right, sounds more like some type of transaction. |

geocaching isn't about the money at all. The prize is most of the time a sticker or some worthless shit. Plus, the cache is worth 1 star for difficulty and lots of people found it before. No way this guy was after that. Cop is dumb, or like virgil said. |

That is a brilliant way to make a drop. Leave it near a real geocaching spot so it's the perfect cover if you get caught |

I have a hard time believing that was geocaching. I have friends that are pretty hardcore in that stuff and most of the stuff they find/leave is junk. Maybe its geocaching for the drug dealer, sounds like a good way to make a delivery if you are pissed at the guy. |
