God I couldn't expect that coming. So, just a reminder, I was attach-posted in Victoria (British-Columbia) on the 15th of january for 4 months on the naval base. I started sailing last week on a small patrol boat and we did practices with the divers and their RIBs. I learned last thursday that I would be posted on a destroyer. At first I was kinda pissed since I had to qualify as soon as possible because it was the last time I was going to be available to work on a ship. But then, they told me the ship was in Hawai'i and that I would fly over there on saturday. So they landed me with the divers by RIB, got a day off to pack my luggages, and took off saturday. No need to tell you that it's a F*CKING paradise over here! Expensive, but so freakin' sick, lots of mountains, waves and ship wrecks everywhere. Our ship lost an engine during the week, and we might stay alongside for 6 whole days before sailing back to Victoria. I keep thinking that I'm a lucky son of a bitch for being paid to fly over here, work on a heavy while I'm only a reserve, and get to spend time scuba diving or hiking, you name it! TL:DR I don't miss Canada! |

Maybe with his last name I could find him on the board. The ship stays alongside until Thursday which gives me PLENTY of time to waste more money... Jesus Christ it's expensive, but so beautiful around here!
