It hurts to be grieving, I know that you're leaving this world. You know you're gonna die. To tether oneself to the familiar faces, and familiar faces can be so. You could do it all over again, woah-ho. Now you know that you will go, upon passing from this mortal world, Directly to -before you were you, and this present life unfurled. On the contrary, however, you see That the possibility Of freedom from this land of strife Will come at the end of your life. If your deepest wish, and your heart's great push, is transcending the material. For all in all is all we are, as our dear friend Kurt once said. So find joy in believing that although you are leaving, and your present form shall die, A day soon will come when a manifestation can renew your spirit's sigh. In another place, with a different face -even in an unfamiliar time, Your sould may be reborn, whether by blessing or scorn, To take up the thread of your story and weave a bit more of the journey's lore Into the tapestry of life. |

I think you're under-appreciating the study of Thanatology and the various offshoots related to philosophy and religion which have cropped up over about 10.5 thousand years of human history as we know it. |
